Hello guys,
I was led to join the Prison Ministry in my church many moons ago. I had a desire to help people in many ways by providing resources, my time, etc. Serving there has been a blessing.

My first experience at Ikoyi Prison, Falomo was enriching. I left home early to avoid the usual Third Mainland Bridge traffic so that I could make it to the Prison and join my team mates on time so I was feeling drowsy. I was surprised when my team mate said I should not worry that the sleep would disappear as soon as we step in. She was right.
I forgot the sleep and was emotional all through our stay/service. Before we entered the facility, we were thoroughly searched. Azzin!! Head to toe something. No phones allowed. No sharp objects either. Then I saw the men. There were so many men. So many hungry and hopeful gazes at us. We were led to the Church, yes, there are two churches and a mosque in that facility. I was impressed and grateful to the PFN. Without God working through/with them I do not know where the Prison system in Nigeria would be.
When it was my turn to lead a prayer point that day, I tried to hold back my tears. I could feel God's presence. The inmates worship like they are in God's presence, it is not easy to stop them when they start. I could feel Him clapping with us when they sang praises, nodding His Head when we make our requests via prayers to Him, asking Him to revive the Prison System in Nigeria. Where young men and women are arrested for no reason at all and thrown among wolves(killers, kidnappers, etc). It is always a wonderful experience when we visit.

I have heard several testimonies of people who were rejected by families for changing religion, accepting Christ. There has been people who were forgotten in Prison but God remembered them. More than hundred inmates are releasedAn inmate shared a testimony that gave
me chills and I glorified God. He was wrongfully accused/arrested and thrown into the prison. A winner
like me in Prison but he was all smiles sharing his testimony. As
Winners(Members of The Living Faith Church Worldwide), we are all admonished to
pray for others instead of ourselves. Rather than cry and be depressed in Prison, this brother of mine
heard a voice(The Holy Spirit) tell him to pray for others like himself. It
could be the reason for him to be in the prison and he obeyed. His story was so
like Joseph's.
He testified that since
he started praying for people
who were wrongfully accused in Prison, they were all released in days. This
testimony was shared amongst other inmates. He says he meets them one on one
too.
I have no doubt that he
won't be there(in Prison) when next I visit.
