My 2020 Post Ressurection Encounter

Canaanland, Easter 2019 God answers prayers. It has been a while since I wrote that I was struggling with my finances.  A lot has happened. The Waymaker surprised and has been surprising me. March ending 2020, it seemed like God was ignoring me. So, I did what humans do which was to assume that there was no other way but to pack my bags and baggage and leave the situation. The "situation" wasn't just no rent to live in Lagos but every avenue to borrow/get money from to settle my urgent bills was blocked.  I told my unrelenting landlady that I was leaving my accommodation so that she would give me breathing room. I also gave away some of my stuff. Preparing my mind for the "next step" which I thought was leaving Lagos for my home town. My family thought I was crazy to give up.  I went to my Cell Minister who told me "Jane, this is not the way forward. I understand the situ ation but let's wait to hear from God." So I wait...

Dunsin Oyekan #NOW2019

Dunsin Oyekan (Picture from his Facebook Page) Pastor Damilola, who was a Song Leader and a Music Director in my church, loves posting short clips of ministrations. While scrolling through Instagram a couple of months ago, I breezed past his post on  Dunsin Oyekan . I didn't check the post and so didn't understand his seeming obsession with this particular guy. I blessedly found out why, last Friday and how powerful  Dunsin Oyekan  's ministrations were at #NOW2019. During introductions, fellow worshipers would scream and call him BABA! Dunsin Oyekan  came on stage to a loud ovation. His ministration was powerful and indeed, life changing.  My favorite songs are Amazing God, Breathe, Open Up, If all I say is Jesus. These songs have refused to leave my head, heart and mind for days now. He also ministered with Pastor William Mcdowell. View this post on Instagram ...

Song: Praise Is What I Do By Skekinah Glory Ft. William Murphy

When I understood the lyrics of this song, I could only cry. This song is uplifting, talks about one of God's commandments (Malachi 2:1-3). It is also a vow to praise God no matter our situation. Praise is a debt we owe God.

BOOK REVIEW: Fulfilling Your Days By Bishop David Oyedepo

Cover of The Book By Bishop David Oyedepo Fulfilling your days by Bishop Oyedepo  is a very powerful book. An eye opener for me. It explains a lot about life, choices and death. Today is also his birthday which makes it fitting to share his impact. In this review, I highlight the major points that I picked from the book. - Jesus has the key of death and He showed that with examples when He died Matt 27: 50 -53 which Paul confirmed in Colosians 2:15. - That Jesus showed us practical example of the authority/Keys He's been given by God by Raising the dead immediately He gave up the ghost after saying it is finished in John 19:30.  - We should ask Jesus for help when facing the horrors of death or life and He will answer. - The book also says that 70 years is the minimum age we(are covenanted to live Ps. 90:10) but it can be increased to 120 -180 as we want and according to our strength).  - He reminded us about what Hezekiah did in Isaiah 38; calling/putting...

The Day Jesus Saved Me From Being Robbed and Shot

The day the name of Jesus saved my life.   My Sisters and I at Meiran- Ijaiye. I am the one in Yellow. See, Meiran Ijaiye was the most quiet place I ever lived. The area was plagued by thieves and an irresponsible government. There were bad roads and robbers who killed vigilantes. In all the years I lived there, I never believed I could be accosted/harassed so all warnings flew out the window every time I leave my house.  I would even use my phone as a torch en route to work.  That day,  I left my old apartment by 4:30am I used to leave by 3:30am or 4am so that I can get to the work which was on the Island on time.  On my way, I looked up and saw a man wearing "face cap" and "my good girl born in Yoruba land" nature kicked in. Good morning sir, I said. No response. I hurriedly moved a few paces from him only to hear: Freeze or I will shoot you. People of God, I froze o because I saw that he had a gun. I froze and I thought I would die ...

My Song This Week: You Alone Are God by Marvin Sapp

This song gave me goose pimples on Monday morning.

Single With A Difference

I am graciously single, yes, but with a difference and I will prove it with some words. I turned 30 in December 31, 2017. Since then, I have been living a life filled with gratitude, reminiscing and being thankful to God who brought me this far. I vividly remember being hungry and walking the streets of Lagos so I can't fathom why or how God raised this girl from frying Akara in Pen Cinema Agege to being an Executive Assistant to one of the most respected CEOs in Nigeria. I have had the privilege of working with CEOs without applying or sleeping with anyone to work with them. I never applied or expected to work with my current boss. God has been faithful to me. I remember training with the Nigerian Legion for a security job after my stint with Akara at Pen Cinema, Agege only to be posted to the floor of the Executive Directors of Tell Magazine. The  change of status came when they asked my then boss to release me from my contract so that I cou...

WOMEN OF THE GOD KIND 2018 CONFERENCE #WOTGK2018

My White Dress to #WOTGK As expected, the #WOTGK2018 conference held on March 17, 2018 was mind blowing. The theme was tagged INTIMACY.  Intimacy with God.  The event was free. After registering in February, I was preparing for the event but then saw a post on their Instagram Page saying that this year's code is white. Even though I wanted to wear their customized T-shirt and then drag on my jeans 😉😉, I welcomed the change but remembered that I would have to shop for a white dress. I dismissed that thought.  I do not have time to shop neither am I a fan of online shopping. So I put on my favorite white dress... Team mate turned Bestie I mentioned the event in passing to my team mate in Church and she asked to be invited. As Santuary Keepers, we help in cleaning the church on Saturdays so we knew we would need a change of clothes for the event. After Sanctuary keeping that morning, we changed our outfits and moved to Covenant U...

How God Leads Us Today By Bishop Oyedepo

Hello Guys, I was at our(Living Faith Church Worldwide) Midweek Service Last Night. Having read his book Understanding Divine Direction, I put two and two together and was able to take notes that I wanna share. A lot of us are divided on life issues. I shake my head when I see headlines on Tithing and why we should pay or not pay.  Questions like "how do I know he is the one" comes up on every blog/social media. I hope the notes that I took from the service will help. It certainly helped me. You can also hear/watch the message via this Youtube Link For How God Leads Today Sermon By Bishop Oyedepo Sermon: How God Leads Today(March 7, 2018) Texts from  Psalm 23:1-6, John 10:21 What are the requirements for Divine Guidance? 1. Be full of the word of God. To defeat the devil, you must be word loaded to avoid misguidance. God guides us today via His Word or you'd be misguided. Ps 119:105. It is the standard that helps you identify what's not from God'...

My Experience at #WOTGK2017 (Women Of The God Kind 2017)

Hi guys, Jenny at #WOTGK2017 I  started 2017 with a resolve to mingle with people. Go to concerts, shows, events, musicals, you name it. So, when I saw the advert for  #WOTGK2017 conference organised and founded by Joys Oyedepo, I set my calendar for that day. It was awesome. We had a great time in God's presence, I tell you. We also had to privilege of meeting and touching,  our mentors, great women of God; in my opinion. Women like Dr. Ada Sonia, Mrs. Kemi Oyedepo, Nkechi Harry Ngonadi(NHN), Mrs. Yemi(Joys' former teacher), Joys and my favorite, Mrs. Tolu Ijogun(Pastor Bimbo and Taiwo Odukoya's daughter).  NHN and her runway models. T he conference which was held at the ALDC, Covenant University was the second event since it was founded. I met young ladies from within and outside Lagos.  I made a new friend! I made a new friend. We bonded until we entered the hall before 10am; which was the time the confere...
