What Is God's Will For Me?

Hi guys,

2018 has been awesome for me. One of the prophetic declarations for this year is that everyday shall be Christmas for me. I believed it and I can reliably say that my diary is almost filled with God's wonders and mercies to me. Let me stop the stories and enter to the business of the day.

I am writing about what I have learnt about God's will. What is God's will? I will interpret it as God's desires, God's expectations and God's plan for me. Thankfully, I spent this year learning at the feet of one of God's servants on the earth so I thought to share some of God's will for us.

1. Salvation
John 3: 16, which says that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son(Jesus), so that whoever believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life. So God's will for us is salvation from Sin. Isaiah 53: 1-4 painted a picture of what Christ did for us at calvary.  You can't call out to God unless you believe He sent His Son to save us(John 1:12) You also need to believe in Him.  John 3;16 confirmed as well as 2 Peter 3:9.

2 Peter 3:9 says God wants us to come to repentance i.e. be saved.
'The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness
but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish,
but that all should come to repentance. ' 2 Peter 3:9

2. Glorify and Praise Him

Malachi 2: 1-3 says it a commandment, a debt we owe God. All the Glory must be to God, not you
nor any man(as God fit kill the person). Isaiah 43:21, 1 Peter 2:9. God can't glorify Himself. If we don't thank, praise or glorify
Him, He can raise stones to do the job; Luke 19:40

3. Prosperity
You can read this book by Gloria Copeland

God's will for us is prosperity.  He said in Job 36:11 that those who Obey and serve Him will spend their days in PROSPERITY and their years in Pleasures.  3 John 2 says that

"I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be of good health, even as thy soul prospereth'

So you see? God wants us to prosper.

4. Long life

I read a book this year called Fulfilling your days Bishop Oyedepo in the book, called Psalm 91 the Long Life Psalm i.e the chapter has covenant terms for long life. Serve God and he will provide every other thing listed in it.

Marriage(Gen 2:18), Children(Deuteronomy 7:14, Psalm 127:3), Promotion(Psalm 75:6-7) , etcare from God and are perfectly in line with God's gift for us all.

We only need to serve Him by doing His commandments, which are not grievous or burdensome(1 John 5:2-3).  We can also boldly remind Him of those promises(His Will).

My First Day In Ikoyi Prison

Hello guys, I was led to join the Prison Ministry in my church many moons ago. I had a desire to help people in many ways by providing resources,  my time, etc. Serving there has been a blessing.  Ikoyi Prison Entrance My first experience at Ikoyi Prison, Falomo was enriching. I left home early to avoid the usual Third Mainland Bridge traffic so that I could make it to the Prison and join my team mates on time so I was feeling drowsy. I was surprised when my team mate said I should not worry that the sleep would disappear as soon as we step in. She was right. I forgot the sleep and was emotional all through our stay/service. Before we entered the facility, we were thoroughly searched. Azzin!! Head to toe something. No phones allowed. No sharp objects either. Then I saw the men.  There were so many men. So many hungry and hopeful gazes at us. We were led to the Church, yes, there are two churches and a mosque in that facility. I was impressed an...

Customer Service Talk with Jane

The not so huge secret is out! I have been sharing some business tips on this blog but I am more passionate about Customer Service and I am very vocal about this not because of my years of experience working as a Customer Service Executive but because Nigerian vendors like to test our patience and I have experienced too much of it to ignore. I have also been hosting talks on a Whatsapp group for a while now where I share some tips and my Customer Service experience, answer questions business owners have and how to resolve customer complaints satisfactorily. I am excited to share publicly that I will be hosting another Customer Service Talk on March 6, 2022 by 8pm. Attendance is free and virtual(Google Meet) but you have to register. See link below: https://forms.gle/Jp9cTX6fTLNUzpnf6 See you there!

Don't Keep Your Customers Waiting

Feedbacks like the above aren't good for business growth as they discourage other "intending" Customers. You should not keep Customers waiting whether you own a kiosk or a conglomerate.  We have terrible and incompetent policymakers in Nigeria whose policies crumble businesses, but business owners should play their part and ensure they keep their businesses afloat by keeping loyal Customers satisfied.  When you satisfy your clients, they would not leave. They will bring more clients to you saving you the cost budgeted for Advertisement and Promotion. One of the parts you need to play well is to hire willing and loyal staff. I didn't believe tales of few good or employable people until I started helping employers to hire people. The labour market is not encouraging, yes, but you should keep searching. You can use job sites well, give them your requirements and pay the applicable fee needed to get what you want. You can also headhunt after proper due diligence. If you d...
