  I can’t remember I can’t remember praying for him or my journey. I can’t remember praying for an excellent service but I remember making a request. My spirit must have said a quick prayer to the Holy Ghost reminding him of my lack of desire to suffer this year. There were cries and pledges and requests made to my Heavenly Father in January 2022. I wiped my tears fast. The days in January became short as soon as I stopped wallowing in my situation like Hannah. Then My Father in Heaven hastened my days in February. As usual, He’d seen me enter a pit, I dug for myself the previous month and held me close as I struggled with letting Him work while I rested. I was nearly disgraced but He didn’t allow it. Instead, He let my light shine. He surprised me and my listeners with the words of my mouth and the work of my hands. He gave me glorious days in March. I recounted many levels I’d skipped And just when I got drunk on the levels and His ability to hold me when I fall, I got a caution....

Like clockwork, they think they are helping my destiny when they take advantage of me. They think they've won. The God in me often glues my mouth shut in these circumstances.   He can feel my hurt and how disappointed I am.  This time, He quietly reminded me in His own way, that this has happened before. He told me of their end. One of them recently paid me back handsomely.  Others wish they have the opportunity to repay their unkindness. It may continue to happen as long as I allow it. I am often helpless but I won't allow this to continue. I prefer my other option; my disappearing act. I chose to be naive and unsophisticated in many life situations. I still think I have seen the worst life has to offer and may continue my disappearing act to avoid more trauma and conflict. I have been sharing some business tips on this blog but I am more passionate about Customer Service and I am very vocal about this not because of my years of experience working as a Customer Service Executive but because Nigerian vendors like to test our patience and I have experienced too much of it to ignore.   Yes, you need to promote your business. I learned big words from Kdrama this week;  a more important thing than philosophy in business is effectiveness.  The primary purpose of being in Business is to make money. In this age, you do not need a shop to make money. Don't wait for money to get a shop/stall or business place. Start building your clientele. If your business is on social media , all you need to increase visibility, sales and therefore revenue are; Take advantage of Instagram And Facebook Business ads.   They’ve proven effective for small businesses I know. So go big on Mark Zuckerberg’s marketplace. The platforms have features that give the option of posting your adverts on both platforms and Whatsapp Business. Feedbacks like the above aren't good for business growth as they discourage other "intending" Customers. You should not keep Customers waiting whether you own a kiosk or a conglomerate.  We have terrible and incompetent policymakers in Nigeria whose policies crumble businesses, but business owners should play their part and ensure they keep their businesses afloat by keeping loyal Customers satisfied.  When you satisfy your clients, they would not leave. They will bring more clients to you saving you the cost budgeted for Advertisement and Promotion. One of the parts you need to play well is to hire willing and loyal staff. I didn't believe tales of few good or employable people until I started helping employers to hire people. The labour market is not encouraging, yes, but you should keep searching.  October 20, 2020. I was at work by 4PM. I joked about joining the #LekkiTollGateProtesters  I told my WhatsApp contacts that i could trek to meet them. Lights went off in my office today and I needed an electrician so I called Baba Electrician. Baba Electrician has been my "go to" for fixing all electrical faults in my office for the past 3 years. I remembered calling him early this year and he told me he was sick and in the hospital so I kept my fingers crossed, hoping that he is well now, surely, and could fly down to my office, as usual, to fix the issue. The person who picked my call was not Baba Electrician. It was his wife, telling me that Baba is late. Baba was old but he was one of the hardest worker I have ever met. Canaanland, Easter 2019 God answers prayers. It has been a while since I wrote that I was struggling with my finances.  A lot has happened. The Waymaker surprised and has been surprising me. March ending 2020, it seemed like God was ignoring me. So, I did what humans do which was to assume that there was no other way but to pack my bags and baggage and leave the situation. The "situation" wasn't just no rent to live in Lagos but every avenue to borrow/get money from to settle my urgent bills was blocked.  I told my unrelenting landlady that I was leaving my accommodation so that she would give me breathing room. I also gave away some of my stuff. Preparing my mind for the "next step" which I thought was leaving Lagos for my home town. My family thought I was crazy to give up.  I went to my Cell Minister who told me "Jane, this is not the way forward. I understand the situ ation but let's wait to hear from God." So I wait...

Hi! I have a huge confession to make. I have been struggling with my finances. You might say that is normal but I do not see bad things or terrible situations like poverty as normal. His Word says that He will supply ALL my needs according to His riches in Glory so when my needs aren't met, I get troubled. The past couple of months have been weird. We were close to the pedestrian bridge when I saw them. 3 boys on the footbridge. It looked like they were in some kind of fight; 2 against one. Even more terrifying; no street light from the bus stop we came from to the next 3 bus stops. The last time I was robbed at the next bus stop at 6am flashed before my eyes.
